Simon's Australia Adventure - May 27th - June 4th, 2007 - page 2
 The sign on top of the mountain.  View from the top of Australia, 2,228 meters high  Mountain biking in and around Thredbo.  My first Emu sighting!  Bill Steptoe and Mr. Fred. I also met Mrs. Fred and baby Fred as well! Bill's backyard was like grand central station for every conceivable Australian wild bird!  A kookaburra which is related to our kingfisher.  Gullahs galore!  Australian hawk, I wish I would have gotten a shot of the eagle that was less than 5 meters away when I was in Bill's car coming around a corner!  Working the local VKs (Australian ham radio operators).  The Snowy River. You may remember the movie that was made called: The Man From Snowy River! |
